PREPARATION FOR LESSON 4
In preparation for this lesson, read the introductory verses of all the books of the minor prophets books of the Old Testament (Hosea - Malachi). For example, read Hosea 1:1-7, Joel 1:1-3, etc. Write down what these verses teach us about prophetical literature of the Old Testament. What difference should this make in the way we read these biblical books?

GOALS
In this lesson, we would like to accomplish the following:
1. We hope you will become more interesed in the dynamics of the divine covenant in studying the prophetical books of the Old Testament.
2. We hope you will make use of all the resources and activities of the lesson to learn the significance of the promises and judgments related to the divine covenants.
3. We hope you make some changes in your life as a response to the teachings of this lesson. It should increase your covenantal faithfulness to God and your ability to understand prophetical gifts.
OBJECTIVES
When you have done the following, it will show that the goals are met:
1. Use all the resources and complete all the written assignments of the lesson, expressing your own thoughts and attitudes regarding the dynamics of the covenants of the Old Testament.
2. Obtain a satisfactory grade on the test, demonstrating that you can identify the significance of the promises and judgments related to the divine covenants.
3. Answer the application questions in the study guide, in which you apply the teachings of the lesson to your own life.
