Obviously all the material needs to be read but in order to do well on the quiz, pay special attention to the following:
1. What have most intelligent people thought about the existence of one true God throughout history?
2. Make sure you understand the doctrine of the unity of God, and especially how it does not contradict certain biblical passages, such as Exodus 7:1, that could be interpreted to mean that there is more than one god. (Page 53)
3. Make sure you understand the Arian notion of God and the Sabellian doctrine of God.
4. Make sure you understand the doctrine of the spirituality of God and what it says about the possibility of God having a physical body, especially what it means when the Bible uses anthropomorphic language. (Pages 55-57)
5. Make sure you can define what an attribute of God is, and the difference between communicable attributes and incommunicable attributes. (Page 60)
6. Make sure you understand the doctrine of the simplicity of God, especially why it is impossible to have composite “parts” of God. (Page 62)
7. Make sure you understand what it means that God is eternal, especially how this relates to time. (Pages 62-63)
8. Make sure you can define the immutability of God and the omnipresence of God. (Page 67)
9. Make sure you know the differences between the way human beings obtain knowledge and the way God holds knowledge, as well as God’s knowledge of the past, present, and future. (Pages 77-78)
10. Make sure you understand and can define what Boice means by Scientia Media. (Pages 79-81)
11. Make sure you understand the doctrine of the wisdom of God, especially whether it is perfect or imperfect. (Page 82)
12. Make sure you know how Boice defines holiness in relation to God. (Page 83)
13. Make sure you know what mercy means, especially in relation to the pardon of the offender. (Page 86)
14. Make sure you understand what the “verity” of God as True God means. (Page 88)
15. Make sure you can define “justice” as Boice does. (Page 90)
16. Make sure you can define “will of God” as Boice does. (Page 96)
17. Make sure you can compare and contrast the will of God with the will of man. (Page 99)
18. Make sure you can define the “decrees of God” as Boice does. (Page 103)
19. Make sure you understand how some Arminians describe the knowledge God has (or doesn’t have) of the free actions of men. (Page 106)
20. Make sure you know how the abstract of principles describes the doctrine of the Trinity. (Page 111)
21. Make sure you know whether the Scriptures ever expressly call Jesus God. (Pages 113-114)
22. Make sure you understand the nature of the Holy Spirit as described by Scripture. (Pages 115-117)
23. Make sure you understand how the persons of the Trinity relate to each other. (Page 123)
24. Make sure you know Boice’s view of the eternal sonship of Christ. (Pages 124-131)
25. Make sure you know how each Person of the Trinity is involved in the work of redemption. (Page 138)
26. Make sure you have a good working knowledge of the 4 theories of the origin of the universe. (Page 144)
27. Make sure you understand the composite nature of man as body and soul. (Page 167)
28. Make sure you understand Boice’s view the “higher nature” of man. (Page 168)
29. Make sure you know Boice’s view of the origin of the souls of men. (Pages 175-179)
30. Make sure you can compare and contrast the words “image” and “likeness” from Genesis 1:26. (Page 180)
