MAKING BIBLICAL DECISIONS
PREPARATION FOR LESSON 3
THE NORMATIVE PERSPECTIVE: THE ATTRIBUTES OF SCRIPTURE

In preparation for this lesson, read Romans 10:13-17 and Hebrews 4:12-13. Write down what this has to teach us about the importance, the power and the authority of Scripture.

GOALS

In this lesson, we would like to accomplish the following:

1. We hope you will grow in your love and admiration for the Scriptures, and grow in your ability to use them for making ethical decisions.

2. We hope you will make use of all the resources and activities of the lesson to understand the key attributes of Scripture.

3. We hope you make some changes in your life as a response to the teachings of this lesson, especially in the way you relate to the Scriptures and use them for ethical decisions.

OBJECTIVES

When you have done the following, it will show that the goals are met:

1. Use all the resources and complete all the written assignments of the lesson, expressing your attitude toward the Scriptures. 

2. Obtain a satisfactory grade on the test, demonstrating that you can defend the divine authorship and authority of the Scriptures, and that you can identify the meaning of the clarity, necessity, and sufficiency of Scripture.

3. Answer the application questions in the study guides, showing how you have applied the teachings of the lesson to your life.
